WHAT'S A MARKETPLACE?

A marketplace is an e-commerce platform bringing together several independent designers and brands and allowing them to present their designs to buyers anywhere in the world.

Our brand partners have their official page on the marketplace and buyers can browse through various products by different sellers.


The Fairnest provides a trustworthy, transparent, and secure platform.

The marketplace operates through a commission made on sales. There is no membership fee for designers or brands to have their collections on the marketplace.

WHO'S IN CHARGE OF PACKING & SHIPPING?
All our products are packed and shipped directly from the designers. Although all of our designers and brands are professionals with handling fine craft and delicate items, The Fairnest cannot be held responsible for damages made during transportation of the items. In the unfortunate event of your item arriving damaged, please email us at info@thefairnest.com.
WHAT SHIPPING METHODS ARE AVAILABLE?
We offer standard shipping. The delivery time may vary depending on the location of the brand and the buyer, but generally, for domestic shipping: 2-3 days. For shipping to another country within EU: 3-7 days. For express shipping, please mention this in the notes while placing the order and we will try to accommodate your request.

HOW SOON CAN YOU DELIVERY MY ORDER?

We offer 2 types of availability for products:

In stock: product is available and in stock. Delivery can be carried out quickly, usually within 72h. Made-to-order or pre-order: the product is made upon request or it can be customized according to buyer’s criteria. The delivery time is specified by the brand on each product page.

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
The Fairnest ships to most countries within Europe. However, shipping conditions remain at each partner brand’s discretion and there may be some differences to this policy. If your country is not in the provided list, please let us know, and we'll check if we can accommodate your request.

WHO PAYS THE DELIVERY FEES?
Delivery fees may vary from one brand to another and depends on delivery destination. Generally, the shipping for domestic orders: €5, while international orders within EU: €15. If you buy several items from different brand’s the system will calculate the final cost of shipping, and your purchase may be subject to a discounted shipping rate. To calculate the shipping fee of your order, we recommend using the Shipping Calculator in your 'Shopping Cart'.
HOW MUCH TAX & DUTY I HAVE TO PAY?
If you order from a brand outside of the European Union sales taxes and customs duties may apply. The price you pay to The Fairnest does not include any such taxes and duties. You will have to pay the required amount to the customs officer, either at the customs office, or upon delivery. Make an inquiry at your local customs office to learn more.
IF I BUY FROM SEVERAL DIFFERENT BRANDS, HOW DOES DELIVERY WORKS?
Since each brand is in charge of their own products, if you purchase from several different brands, you may receive the packages at different times. You will receive a tracking number for each package after shipment.
DO YOU OFFER FREE SHIPPING?
Free delivery has become a given fact for a lot of marketplaces, but please understand, we are trying to create a responsible and sustainable business.
Occasionally, some of our brand’s offer complementary shipping on purchases above a certain order value, or within specific regions. Look out for the 'Shipping' symbol on each product page to find out more.

Payment Information

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS ARE ACCEPTED?
We accept most credit and debit card payments including American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Klarna, Bancontact, iDEAL, Google Pay and Apple Pay. You can also pay by Paypal.

We take online security seriously, our website is protected with the latest SSL encryption technology, and credit card payments are handled by PCI compliant 3rd party providers (Shopify Payments & Paypal).

WHEN WILL I BE CHARGED FOR MY ORDER ON THE FAIRNEST?

As soon as your order is placed, we authorize the card for the full order value to confirm that funds are available. We capture the funds (charge your card) once your order has been accepted by the respective brand. Authorization does not charge your card.

For payments with PayPal we charge you at time of placing an order. If we are unable to fulfill any part of your order, you will be refunded directly to your PayPal account.

Orders and Returns

HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?
Making an order is easy. Just select the item you wish to buy along with size and colour, if required. Add to cart and proceed to checkout. If you encounter any problems please contact customer service at info@thefairnest.com.
DO I NEED AN ACCOUNT TO PLACE AN ORDER?
You can register a customer account under Sign Up/My Account. To do this, you must enter your full name, e-mail address, address, telephone numbers and create a password. All information must be accurate and truthful. If your information changes, please update your user account as soon as possible.
You can also place an order without a registered account.
WHO SHOULD I CONTACT IF I HAVE ANY QUERIES?
Go to the contact section of the website at the bottom of any page and click on the link. You will then be able to fill in a form and specify your inquiry. If you have an query about returns, email us directly at info@thefairnest.com.
HOW CAN I CANCEL OR CHANGE MY ORDER?
In cases of cancellations, you'll be refunded the amount of your purchase and shipping, provided the order has not yet been fulfilled by the brand/seller. If you wish to cancel an order, please write to info@thefairnest.com immediately. It is not possible to change an order after it has been placed, we kindly request that you place a new order on the website.
HOW DO I TRACK MY ORDER?
Once the order has been shipped we will provide a tracking number to your e-mail address.
CAN I RETURN OR EXCHANGE A PRODUCT?
Yes, we offer a 14 days return policy, starting from the day you receive your order. For custom/made to order products we do not issue refunds.
Unfortunately we cannot offer exchanges at this point. Instead, please place a new order via our website.
We accept returns that meet the following requirements:
1. Return is initiated and mailed back within 14 days of delivery date.
2. Product(s) is returned in perfect condition.
3. The product(s) is new, unworn, unwashed and in original packaging with tags attached.
4. Product(s) that may not be returned include: gift certificates, underwear, cosmetics, earrings and swimwear (when the plastic seal at the crotch has been removed).
However, defective items may always be returned.

The Fairnest and/or the respective brand reserve the right to reject any returned product(s) that do not meet the above criteria.

WHAT'S THE PROCESS TO RETURN A PRODUCT I HAVE ORDERED?

As an advocate for more mindful consumption, The Fairnest encourages you to carefully consider every purchase before you place an order.

In case of an item needing to be returned, please notify us via email: info@thefairnest.com. We will guide you through the process and advise you on where to send the item you are returning.

The customer is responsible for the cost of return postage including duties and taxes, if applicable.

 

HOW SOON WILL I RECEIVE MY REFUND?

If your item is approved as eligible for a refund and fulfills all the requirements, The Fairnest will start to process the refund. A credit will automatically be applied to the credit card or original method of payment, usually within 5-8 business days.

 

DO YOU REFUND SHIPPING FEES?

All original shipping fees, taxes and duties due to sale are non-refundable.
